I used to downplay my roots.
Now, I try to honor it in everything I do.
Hi, I'm Louise! I was born in Makati City, Philippines & am currently living in Germany.
Growing up, a part of me felt ashamed of being a FIlipino. Maybe I can blame it on history, or the media, or simply my own naivety. That didn’t change until I turned 30, a few years ago during the pandemic. I couldn’t book a flight to see my family & friends. It made me extremely homesick, & I've never felt that way... ever.
When travel was permitted again, I visited immediately & experienced the Philippines with a more open heart. Here we are now.
Scolta is my way of giving back & reclaiming my identity.
If you’ve ever felt the same, know that you’re not alone. I hope I can help you reconnect with your roots, too.
Together, let’s be proud of our cultures, strive to promote & preserve them, & encourage others to do the same for theirs.
xo, Louise

Does selling your works feel "icky" ? Let me help you.
I've met many artists & creative businesses who hate selling. They hate that "salesy" feeling. Based on experience selling art & being an entrepreneur, I've felt this way when my branding & sales strategies weren't aligned with my identity.
Are you like them? If yes, I can help you. Work 1-on-1 with me. Let me be your Brand Bestie.
